During the IPL mega auction in Bangalore on Saturday, Indian legend Gautam Gambhir was bought by the Delhi Daredevils team for Rs 2.80 crore.
Gambhir had played for the team of Kolkata Knight Riders in the last 7 IPL season, but this time Kolkata Knight Riders did not bid for Gambhir nor used right-to-match.
Fans on social media have expressed their anger over this.
After all, Gautam has discovered the reason for not being part of the Kolkata franchise and you would be surprised to know it.
KKR management had already decided to include Gambhir in the team but Gambhir himself refused to do so. This time Gambhir wanted to face some new challenges in the IPL as a new team.
KKR management did not want to be among the aspirations of the serious and therefore they let them go. The managing director of WKM Mysore, KKR disclosed this.
After being selected in the team of Gambhir's Delhi Daredevils, Gambhir thanked KKR management and fans via Twitter. He also expressed happiness on coming back to the Delhi Daredevils team
