Apple raises iPhone prices in India, here are new official prices and actual market prices

when it comes to buying an iPhone, India is perhaps one of the most expensive markets in the world to do so. In December, iPhones got a little more expensive thanks to the increase in custom duty from 10 per cent to 15 per cent. Now, iPhone prices have reached an all-time high in the country following the Union Budget last week, which has raised the duty even further from 15 per cent to 20 per cent. This means that iPhones that were already pricey to begin with are now going to cost die-hard fans a lot more.

The new prices are already in effect. Newer iPhone models like the iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 8, slightly older models like the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7 and all the way down to the iPhone 6 are all getting a price bump making them slightly more expensive than before. The only exception to the list is the iPhone SE as it is the only locally manufactured iPhone in India. While the new prices are applicable as of February 5, 2018, there are still a few e-commerce sites where you can consider purchasing the iPhone at lower prices.
